It was an absolute pleasure working with Jennifer and Robert Lamb who managed the sale of most of my home items as a part of the process of downsizing. They made the initial consultation very easy by meeting with me in my home and providing insight into an estate sale process. Jennifer and Robert also made filling out the contract easy through email which save me time and effort as I was juggling many different activities at the time. Robert and Jennifer were always available to clarify questions and spent hours setting my home up for the sale. I cannot stress enough how proud I was at the way my belongings were displayed for the sale—first class! Jennifer and Robert brought in tables and dressed them with tablecloths. My home was turned into mini-boutiques where shoppers could easily browse and view items at a comfortable level. They also made my sale safe and thief free by creating one entrance/exit and locking finer jewelry and purses in viewable cases—like department stores do. I received my payment very conveniently by direct deposit into my bank and was very pleased with the dollar amount I made from my sale. I now count Jennifer and Robert among my friends and have already recommended them to a very good friend who is planning to have an estate sale in the near future. I would also recommend An Estate In Time to anyone who desires a quality, respectful, well managed and first class estate sale.
Jen and Rob are outstanding people who care deeply about the folks they help – often through difficult scenarios. Sadly, estate sales are frequently needed because of a crisis situation or a family member’s illness or death. Jen & Rob understand that & are genuinely compassionate to those who might be vulnerable. They are extremely honest about everything and painstakingly barcode every item to be sold. Through their barcoding system, nothing is left to chance. When our sale was completed, we received a very lengthy report, detailing every item sold. While they didn’t clean our home after the sale (we didn’t expect it), they did make every effort to assist us in getting our living areas back to normal. Their payment was prompt and complete. In addition to all this – they are genuinely kind, caring, and very nice people; people we now consider friends. One year after our estate sale, we needed a statement from them about the sale (for accounting purposes) and Jen provided it to us within two hours!! She is amazing! We would hire them again in a heartbeat!
I hired this company….(an estate in time) to liquidate my victorian home of 4700 square feet last February, I specifically waited until we were 4 days from closing so we would make sure it did not fall out of escrow… Jen and Rob spent 2 + weeks cataloging thousands of my personal belongings and antiques , and how they did it was unlike any other estate sale i’ve ever been to…they have a bar coding system which identify’s all of the items for sale… NO CHEAP STICKERS!!! so when a sale took place they would scan the bar code and it print out the sale on an itemized sheet for myself identifying EVERY piece they sold…very professional. Their crew even found a sum of money my mother hid in an old flower pot years before when she was living with us!!!! unfortunately the house sale did fall thru and worse yet, 2 days into the estate sale!!! we were devastated !!!! to say the least…Jen and Rob immediately cancelled the sale and even though they had spent weeks cataloging our possessions, and had paid their crews, did not charge us for all the property they had cataloged !!! not only did they take a loss on my estate sale they came back 2 days later with a buyer for my moms car and sold it for us, (at no charge!!!!) Jen and Rob are extremely caring and considerate people they don’t just run a business .. they truly care about the lifetime of possessions they are selling and it shows in every step they took setting up for my sale>>> these people were strangers when I hired them…. now they are family. Jen and Rob are the only company I will ever use and the only people I would recommend to sell your family’s personal collection of lifetime memories.. KIM
I engaged Jennifer & Robert after researching a number of estate sales companies. What I liked was they have a computer system that tracks every item sold and they give that to you after the sale. Once I agreed to using their services they had a team come in and tag all the items that were for sale. They priced items fairly and after the first day they took additional markdowns til the end of the sale. The first day of the sale, there was a group of people waiting outside my home for the sale to start. The first day went very well as did the next two days. After the sale, within a couple of days I had my check and reconciliation of every item sold. In concluding I would highly recommend you contact them if you’ll be doing an estate sale. And you should research any estate sale company you’re thinking of hiring.
The clients whom I sent Jennifer’s way were THRILLED with the referral. The sale went off without a hitch, and the clients were tickled pink with the size of the final check they received. This means a lot to me, as I (an out of state colleague) know the professional estate liquidation industry inside out. Job well done, guys!
We found ourselves in a difficult situation, trying to arrange care for aging parents while figuring out the best way to deal with their home and possessions.
